Description
Salix schwerinii
Kinuyanagi
The Kinuyanagi grows up to 6m tall and is also known as the Japanese fodder willow. It grows exceptionally well in moist fertile soils and is a useful alternative for fodder, shade and shelter in comparison to tree willows. Although not suitable for planting along stream banks, the Kinuyanagi is not affected by sawflies and is very palatable to stock.
